It’s almost that time of year – where stores are filled with red hearts and chocolate. So why not plan your Valentine’s Day outfit now? If you always get stumped on what to wear – check out some examples below. Also, I’m offering a contest for women who need assistance picking out a date night outfit. Click the link to enter and for more details. One winner will be selected and their picture will be featured in next month’s blog.
Dinner and a movie / casual look
Pull out those leather pants in your closet and pair them with a denim shirt (as pictured below). I purchased my leather pants from Nordstrom last winter. This look works well with a duster, wool coat, or faux fur vest.
Dinner and a play / musical
I love leather! Last winter season leather miniskirts were all the rave. No need to go out and buy a new outfit for Valentine’s Day. Pull out that mini leather skirt in your closet. If you don’t have one you can purchase it from Zara. Find your best tie top or silk blouse and pair it with a leather skirt and patterned stockings.
A trip out of town for the weekend
I was lucky to find this outfit after the holiday’s in Tyson Bloomingdale’s. All together the entire fit cost me under $100 for the velvet pants and satin top (no longer in stock online). Metallic is in this season – if you do not have any metallic tops like the one pictured below. Don’t fret you can purchase a top like the one pictured below here. Pair your top with a nice pair of lipstick pants and booties.
Girl’s night out on the town
If you don’t have any date plans as of now, no worries. Grab a group of friends and head to your local hotspot. Pull out a pair of slacks and body suit with a faux fur shawl. A night on the town with friends will bring lots of laughs and memories. Who knows you may meet a single gentleman while out with friends.
Here’s to a great Valentine’s Day! Don’t forget to enter the contest for your chance to win a styling session with me and a $50 gift card to Ulta.
